Borrowing

All members of the Oxford Union Society may borrow from the Library.  For information on joining the Union, please see the joining page.  Researchers from outside the University of Oxford may visit the reading rooms for reference only.

Reading rooms

The Library collections are housed in various rooms in the Union buildings, notably the Old Library, Poetry Room and Goodman Library.  All provide quiet and pleasant places in which to work.  There are computers with internet access for general use in the Goodman Library and Library Reception.  There is also wireless network in the Old Library, Goodman Library, Morris Room and Television Room.  Bring your Union membership card to the Library Desk to register for this.

DVD library

DVDs are available for loan to members.  Loans cost only £1.50 for 3 days and up to 5 DVDs may be borrowed at a time.

Newspapers

During term, members may purchase current copies of the Times, Guardian and Independent, all at 50p per copy.

Photocopier

A photocopier is available for members' use in the Library Reception, with copying at 5p per sheet amongst the cheapest in Oxford.  Colour photocopying is also available at 25p per sheet for A4 or 50p per sheet for A3.  Photocopier cards can be bought from the Library Reception on production of a membership card.
