1. Changes to Rule 33, to come into immediate effect upon passage:


(a) Add the following sentence to the end of (c)(ii)(1):


In the case of such action resulting in the disqualification of the winning candidate for a Junior Officership, and if the malpractice or disqualification thereof has substantially altered the course of the election, the Tribunal shall annul the election for that particular Junior Officership and order a repoll under (viii) below.


(b) Amend 33(c)(x) so as to read:


Once the Election Tribunal is set up, and until the tribunal have reported and the end of the appeals process, no question whatsoever shall be asked, no motion whatsoever moved, nor discussion whatsoever initiated, in the House or in the Standing Committee, that in any way relates to the action of the Returning Officer under Rule 33, or to the setting-up, composition, action or report or any other circumstances whatsoever of the Election Tribunal, save as may be necessary for proceedings against convicted parties under Rule 7(c), or to enable the Standing Committee to ensure that any punishments inflicted are carried out, to determine the Society's response to any judicial or quasi-judicial proceedings, or to carry out actions directed or recommended by the Appellate Board in its Report made under (d) below.

2. Changes to Rule 67, to come into immediate effect upon passage:


(a) Add the following sentence to the end of 67 (e)(v):


Verdict”: the formal finding of fact made by a jury or body on matters or questions submitted to that jury or body in the form of a result of either “guilty” or “not guilty” thereby determining status of conviction.


Sentence”: the penalties inflicted by a body resultant from a guilty verdict and consequent conviction.
