Online Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions

If you buy a ticket to an Oxford Union Society event, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Purchase:

1. The purchase of a ticket is non-refundable and the ticket is non-transferable, except where required by Statutary Provision;

2. The Union reserves the right (a) to cancel or change the event due to circumstances beyond its control;  (b) to refuse to serve alcohol to intoxicated persons;

3. The Union is not responsible for loss or injury etc to persons or possessions etc caused by participation in this event;

4. The Member must bring their Membership Card to the event to gain admittance;

5. A Member is liable in full for any charges levied by the Society resulting from their own or their guests' actions and/or behaviour, and may be expelled or refused entry for unacceptable or disruptive behaviour at the discretion of the organisers;

6. Only Members may purchase tickets. Any person who purchases a ticket who is not a Member, will not be given a refund, except where required by Statutary Provision, and will not be admitted to the event;

7. From the moment of purchase, the Member and his/her guests agree to be bound by the Rules, Standing Orders and Special Schedules of the Oxford Union Society, which may be amended from time-to-time. These can be found in the General Office, the Library, or the web site (www.oxford-union.org);

8. The Oxford Union Society reserves the right to refuse a Member entry to an event and/or to invalidate this purchase with full refund by cheque;
