This House Believes Westminster's Concerns Do Not Extend Beyond The Home Counties

Regional inequalities in Britain are not only surviving, but thriving, and many describe the Home Counties as wielding undue consideration in Westminster.  Does the blame for these inequalities lie with the political establishment?

  • Lord Robert Kerslake : Head of the Civil Service from  2012 to 2014, he became a member of the House of Lords in 2015
  • Carwyn Jones AM : First Minister of Wales since 2009, the leader of Welsh Labour, he has repeatedly criticised a lack of funding for Wales from Westminster

  • David Davies MP : Conservative Member of Parliament for Monmouth since 2005 and Chair of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee
  • Christine Jardine MP : Elected as Member of Parliament for Edinburgh West in 2017, she serves as the Liberal Democrat's Spokesperson for Scotland
