O’Driscoll is a former Irish rugby player, regarded as one of the best players in the history of the game.  He captained the Irish national team from 2003 to 2012, and the British and Irish Lions team for their 2005 tour of New Zealand.  He has scored more tries than any Irish player in history, more tries than any player in the Six Nations, and is the fourth most-capped Rugby Union player in history
