Simon Singh is a scientific author and journalist who produced the BAFTA award-winning documentary Fermat’s Last Theorem. He studied at Imperial College London and gained his PhD from Cambridge University, during which time he worked at CERN. Following the completion of his studies, he worked at the BBC and forged a successful career as the author of a number of critically-acclaimed scientific books. Since 2008, he has been involved in a major campaign to reform English libel laws in order to promote freedom of speech and specifically to protect the work of scientists and scientific journalists.
