| Description |
Dr Yaron Brook is the President and Executive Director of the Ayn Rand Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the novels of Ayn Rand and her philosophy of objectivism. Brook is most famous for applying his objectivist philosophy to US foreign policy in the Middle East, once advocating the destruction of mosques if civilians in Iraq should support insurgents. Born and raised in Israel, he studied at the Technion and emigrated to the USA after military service, where he earned his MBA at the University of Texas at Austin. Brook promotes the philosophical principles of rational selfishness, formulated by Ayn Rand, as a moral virtue. He teaches classes on egoism at the Ayn Rand Institute and as a guest lecturer at Brown University. |
