Proposition:
- Paul Woolley - The Director of the theology think-tank 'Theos' and a former Parliamentary researcher.
- Tariq Ramadan - Professor of Islamic Srudies at Oxford University.
- Lord Harries - A former Army Officer and Chaplain noted for his position as a liberal reformer within the Church of England. He also served as Bishop of Oxford for nearly twenty years.
- Adrian Wooldridge - The Economist's Management Editor and 'Schumpeter' columnist.
- Giles Rowe - Director and co-founder of Henderson Rowe Ltd.
Opposition
- Andrew Copson - The Chief Executive of The British Humanist Association.
- Professor Peter Atkins - Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford.
- Professor Simon Blackburn - Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge.
