| Description | Beth Tweddle MBE is widely regarded as the most successful British gymnast of all time. She is the 2009 World Champion on the floor and was the 2006 World Champion and European Champion on the asymmetic bars. Tweddle was the first gymnast from Britain ever to win a medal at the World and European Championships. She is also a seven-time British National Champion, having won the title every consecutive year between 2001 and 2007. In 2006, she made the shortlist for the BBC’s British Sports Personality of the year. |
