Amir Khan is a British former professional boxer from Bolton. At 17 he won a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, becoming Britain’s youngest Olympic boxing medallist, before going on to become a unified light-welterweight world champion, holding the WBA and IBF titles. Across a professional career spanning 17 years, he fought at world level in the United Kingdom and the United States, and through the Amir Khan Foundation has supported humanitarian causes around the world.
