Kevin Rudd served twice as Prime Minister of Australia, leading the country through the global financial crisis and delivering the National Apology to the Stolen Generations in 2008, and later as Foreign Minister. A fluent Mandarin speaker and Oxford DPhil, he is one of the world’s leading authorities on China, and the author of The Avoidable War and On Xi Jinping. After serving as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States from 2023 to 2026, he returned to lead the Asia Society as its global President.
