Do you have a late licence?

The Union is licensed until 10.30pm on Sunday, midnight on Monday – Wednesday and until 2am on Thursday – Saturday

 

Do you have capacity for live music and dancing?

The Union enjoys all the benefits of a Private Members’ Club and is licensed for live music and dancing until midnight.

 

Do you have disabled access?

Yes, there is disable access to the Debating Chamber, Goodman Library, Old Library and Members’ Bar. Please contact our Events Manager for more details.

 

Is there parking onsite?

Unfortunately we do not have parking onsite. The nearest car parks are Worcester Street and Gloucester Green.

 

Are there any loading restrictions for deliveries?

The main entry to the Union is from St Michael’s Street where there is a small loading bay outside Mallams Auctioneers. Observation period for loading and unloading vans on the double yellow lines is 20 minutes and 5 minutes for cars.

From 10am – 6.30pm, Cornmarket Street is pedestrianised and although articulated lorries would be unable to have access during these hours, transit vans can turn round and exit via New Inn Hall Street.

It may be possible by special arrangement to extend loading and unloading times by contacting NSL Services on 0845 337 1138.

 

What technical equipment do you have available?

We work closely with Oxford’s top sound and lighting suppliers. Please speak with our Events Manager for more information.

 

Are you licensed for wedding ceremonies?

We are currently not licensed for ceremonies but are available for wedding breakfasts and receptions.

 

Do you have provision for corkage?

The Union has access to an extensive wine list and a fully stocked Members’ Bar. However, you are welcome with prior arrangement to bring your own alcohol. Corkage fees will apply.

 

Do you allow external catering?

All our catering is done exclusively in house although it may be possible to bring external caterers for a marquee reception by special arrangement - please speak to the Events Manager.
