Join the Oxford Union’s Committee – Applications Open for Hilary Term 2017 Appointed Committee Positions. To apply for one of the positions (role descriptions are below), please fill out this form by 12:00 on Sunday 27th November: https://goo.gl/forms/ipusoRkEOjmUgyPk2 INVITATION RESEARCHER: To find contact details for our biggest speakers, working directly with the President and Librarian, and hand write invitations. PARTNERSHIP OFFICER: To raise money for the Society and increase revenue streams in conjunction with the Treasurer. GUEST LIAISON OFFICER: To assist guest speakers during their visit to the Society. LOGISTICS TEAM To assist with the logistics of all speakers, panels, debates, and social events – from preparing rooms for official use, to helping out with speaker transport and accommodation arrangements. PRESS OFFICER: To manage a team of Deputy Press Office to maintain relation with the media on a student, national, and international level by offering coverage opportunities, and arranging interviews with Union speaker. DEPUTY PRESS OFFICER: To work with the Press Officer to maintain relations with the media on a student, national, and international level – our events consistently attract interest from the biggest media organisations, such as Sky News, the Economist, the BBC and the Times. ACCESS OFFICER: To promote access and wider participation within the Society and its committees, as well as to manage the functioning of all positions below by chairing weekly meetings. LGBTQIA+ OFFICER: To represent the needs of LGBTQIA+ members and the wider LGBTQIA+ community within the Society. ETHNIC MINORITIES OFFICER: To represent the needs of ethnic minority members and the wider ethnic minorities community within the Society. DISABILITIES OFFICER: To represent the needs of members with disabilities and the wider disabilities community within the Society. WOMEN'S OFFICER: To represent the needs of members who are women and the wider women's community within the Society. GRADUATE OFFICER: To represent the needs of graduate members within the Society. INTERNATIONAL OFFICER: To represent the needs of international members within the Society. BROOKES OFFICER: To represent the needs of members from Oxford Brookes within the Society. Interviews will be conducted in person or over the phone during 8th Week of Hilary Term.
